99 Trials Clinic and TDN Fundraiser

The 99 Trials Association is thrilled to present the 2024 Trials Clinic, designed to elevate your riding skills! This year, all proceeds from the clinic will be donated to the Canadian Trial Des Nations team, supporting their journey and competition in Spain this September at the world championships.

Lessons with max 8 participants: $100

Sessions run from 10am - 2 30pm

*Location TBC, but it will be in the Squamish area*

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before to allow you to unload and get ready, for a timely start.

A 2024 99 Trials Membership will be required (as we need insurance for this event)

What you need to bring:

• A moto trials bike in safe working condition (electric trials bikes fine)
• A helmet and other protective gear
• Enough food/water for the 4 hour session
• Enough gas for a 4 hour session, plus spare in your pack

What skill level should I sign up for?

Here's some pointers to help you choose the right class. Keep in mind there may be some overlap, choose the level you feel most comfortable with and we'll do our best to slot you into the right group. This will help ensure you get the most out of the class and its a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Depending on demand we may contact you to group similar skilled riders together. If you have questions or want to make comments please make a note at checkout. 

Beginner/Intermediate Clinic

Prerequisites:
- Working Trials Motorcycle
- Able to ride independently on blue trails in the sea to sky

Skills covered in course:
- Clutch and Brake control
- Tight corners
- Lifting front wheel / Wheelies
- Traction in slippery conditions
- Going over logs and obstacles
- Body positioning on climbs and descents
- Line choices for obstacles

Not sure between If you're a Beginner or Intermediate? Beginner riders typically have no motorcycle experience and have been riding between riding for less than 6 months. We ask that you are already independent on your motorcycle before the clinic. 

Advanced/Expert Clinic

Prerequisites:
- Minimum 1 year trials experience
- Able to competently tackle sustained steep terrain in the sea to sky and able to ride black trails comfortably

- Precision clutch control and timing
- Front and rear wheel hops/pivots
- Double blips
- Splatters
- Steps
- Short run up
- Techniques for steep / square / large features
- Section riding
